We refer to the announcements dated 27 February 2020, 27 April 2020, 6 May 2020 and 10 July 2020 in relation to the 2nd DRP.  

On behalf of the Board of Directors of ABB, Affin Hwang Investment Bank Berhad (“Affin Hwang IB”) wishes to announce that Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”) had, vide its letter dated 17 July 2020, approved the listing of and quotation for up to 139,000,000 new ordinary shares in ABB (“ABB Shares”) on the Main Market of Bursa Securities to be issued pursuant to the 2nd DRP.

The approval granted by Bursa Securities for the 2nd DRP is subject to the following conditions:

(i) ABB and Affin Hwang IB must fully comply with the relevant provisions under the Main Market Listing Requirements pertaining to the implementation of the 2nd DRP;

(ii) ABB and Affin Hwang IB to inform Bursa Securities upon completion of the 2nd DRP;

(iii) ABB to furnish Bursa Securities with a written confirmation of its compliance with the terms and conditions of Bursa Securities’ approval once the 2nd DRP is completed; and

(iv) ABB to furnish Bursa Securities with a certified true copy of the resolution passed by the shareholders at the forthcoming annual general meeting for the allotment and issuance of new ABB Shares pursuant to the 2nd DRP, prior to the listing of and quotation for the new ABB Shares.
