| Working experience and occupation | Puan Rosnah binti Omar ("Puan Rosnah") has vast and extensive working experience in the financial services industry. Puan Rosnah was with Bank Bumiputra in the early years of her career where she was designated with various tasks including being the Head of New York Branch. She then joined NM Rothschild & Sons (Limited) Singapore as the Director of Malaysia Region overseeing the investment banking activities. Puan Rosnah represented NM Rothschild on the Board of Bumiputra Merchant Bank Berhad and KN Kenanga Asset Management in Malaysia. In 2001, Puan Rosnah became the CEO of Malaysia Building Society Berhad, a subsidiary of EPF. Then in July 2003, she was appointed as the Director General of the Labuan Offshore Financial Services Authority (LOFSA). Puan Rosnah became the Chairman and Managing Director of Rothschild Malaysia Sdn Bhd in 2006. She left Rothschild in 2008 after having re-established Rothschild's operations in Malaysia to pursue her interest in Islamic Finance and Risk Management advisory. She was the advisor on Islamic Finance for the Commonwealth Business Council in London and on banking risk in Malaysia with Algorithmics (Singapore). Puan Rosnah was also a board member of the International Financial Market (IIFM) based in Bahrain. |
