With reference to the abovementioned and on behalf of the Board of Directors of AHB, AFFIN Investment Bank Berhad wishes to announce that BNM has informed, vide its letter dated 15 January 2013, that it has no objection for an extension of time until 31 March 2013 for AHB to complete the negotiations with BMMB and/or its shareholders in respect of the Proposed Acquisition. The formal approval for the Proposed Acquisition may only be sought once the terms and conditions of the Proposed Acquisition have been agreed between the transacting parties.
Further announcements will be made as and when there are material developments pertaining to the Proposed Acquisition. This announcement is dated 16 January 2013. |
