KUALA LUMPUR – AFFINBANK Group (“AFFINBANK” or ‘the Bank”) feted 160 orphans from four orphanages in Klang Valley to a delicious breaking fast meal at its head office, Menara AFFIN, here.

The programme for the day started at around 4.30pm where the children from Rumah Amal Permata Hatiku in Gombak, Rumah Rahoma in Taman Melati, Gombak, Rumah Perlindungan Al-Nasuha in Batu Caves and Rumah Perlindungan Nur Qaseh in Taman Melawati were shuttled to Menara AFFIN to attend a special ‘Tazkirah Ramadan’ by  guest speaker, Ustaz Dr. Haji Mohd Farid Ravi Abdullah, before proceeding to their breaking of fast.

“We are honoured to host this ‘buka puasa’ event every year to spread some Hari Raya cheers to these children as Ramadan is the season to ‘Sedekah’. We also hope that they can enjoy and spend their ‘Duit Raya’ wisely,” said En. Kamarul Ariffin Bin Mohd Jamil, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Affin Bank Berhad.

Besides the annual ‘Buka Puasa’ event, the Bank through its subsidiary, Affin Islamic Bank has held various zakat contribution activities nationwide to reach out and contribute back to the community.
