Affin Bank Berhad ("ABB") wishes to announce the appointment of Encik Hasli bin Hashim ("Encik Hasli"), as the new Chairman of Affin Hwang Investment Bank Berhad ("AHIB") (a wholly-owned subsidiary of ABB) effective 23 October 2025.

Encik Hasli is a seasoned banker with over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry, holding leadership roles across major institutions including Malayan Banking Berhad Group, OCBC Bank, Pacific Bank, and United Malayan Banking Corporation.

Encik Hasli has served as an Independent Non-Executive Director of AHIB since 1 April 2021. He is currently a member of both the Group Board IT and Transformation Committee and the Board Risk Management Committee, in addition to chairing the Strategic Investment Committee. Furthermore, he contributes externally as a member of Bank Negara Malaysia’s Corporate Debt Restructuring Committee.

Encik Hasli previously held the position of Chairman at Hektar REIT and served as an Independent Non-Executive Director at EXIM Bank Berhad. He possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics from Indiana State University, USA.
