We wish to announce that Affin Islamic Bank Berhad ("Affin Islamic"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Affin Bank Berhad had completed the placement of RM500.0 million nominal value of AT1 Sukuk Wakalah and RM500.0 million nominal value of Tier 2 Sukuk Murabahah, under Affin Islamic's existing Islamic medium term notes programme of RM5.0 billion (Sukuk Programme), to selected investors.
The new series AT1 Sukuk Wakalah has been issued today whilst the Tier 2 Sukuk Murabahah is targeted to be issued on 13 October 2023. Details of the issuances are as follows:

AT1 Sukuk Wakalah
Issue size: RM500.0 million
Tenure: Perpetual on a non-callable 5 basis
Distribution rate: 5.10% per annum
Rating: A3
Issue date: 10 October 2023

Tier 2 Sukuk Murabahah
Issue size: RM500.0 million
Tenure: 10 years from the issue date on a non-callable 5 basis
Profit rate: 4.66% per annum
Rating: A1
Target issue date: 13 October 2023

The proceeds raised from the issuances shall be utilized for the general banking working capital requirements and business purposes of Affin Islamic, which shall be Shariah compliant.
