We refer to the Company’s announcements dated 27 February 2023, 7 April 2023 and 12 April 2023 (“Announcements”) in relation to the 6th DRP. Unless otherwise defined, the definitions set out in the Announcements shall apply in this announcement.

On behalf of the Board, Affin Hwang IB wishes to announce that the issue price of the new ABB Shares to be issued pursuant to the 6th DRP has been fixed today (“Price-Fixing Date”) at RM1.73 per new ABB Share after taking into consideration the following:

(a)        5-day volume weighted average market price up to and including 24 May 2023, being the latest trading day prior to the Price-Fixing Date, of RM1.9953 per ABB Share (“5-day VWAP”); and

(b)        an adjustment of RM0.0777, being the Final Dividend, to the 5-day VWAP. Consequently, the ex-dividend VWAP is RM1.9176 per ABB Share (“Ex-Dividend VWAP”).

The issue price of the new ABB Shares to be issued represents a discount of RM0.1876 which is approximately 9.78% discount to the Ex-Dividend VWAP.

On behalf of the Board, Affin Hwang IB also wishes to announce that the books closure date for the Final Dividend has been fixed on 12 June 2023.

A copy of the Notice of Election (including the Dividend Reinvestment Form) will be despatched to all the entitled shareholders of ABB (save for foreign-addressed shareholders of ABB) on 14 June 2023 and the election period for the 6th DRP will close on 28 June 2023.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the new ABB Shares arising from the 6th DRP will be listed on the Main Market of Bursa Securities on 12 July 2023.
