We refer to the announcements dated 18 October 2022, 19 October 2022, 27 October 2022, 15 November 2022 and 5 December 2022 in relation to the 5th DRP (“Announcements”).

(Unless otherwise defined, the abbreviations used throughout this announcement are the same as those previously defined in the Announcements.)

On behalf of the Board, Affin Hwang IB wishes to announce that ABB will be allotting and issuing 61,559,377 new ABB Shares pursuant to the 5th DRP (“DRP Shares”), based on the valid dividend reinvestment forms (“DRF”) received by Tricor Investor & Issuing House Services Sdn Bhd (“Share Registrar”), the share registrar of ABB for the 5th DRP, as at 5.00 p.m. on 19 December 2022, being the last time and date for the DRF to be received by the Share Registrar.

The DRP Shares to be allotted and issued represent approximately 43.74% of the total number of 140,752,006 new ABB Shares that would have been allotted and issued pursuant to the 5th DRP had all the entitled shareholders of ABB reinvested their entire electable portion of the Special Dividend and Interim Dividend into new ABB Shares.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the DRP Shares are expected to be listed on the Main Market of Bursa Securities on 30 December 2022.
