Affin Bank Berhad (the Bank) refers to its announcement made on 30 May 2016 where it was announced that the Bank had received a claim from the Plaintiff for alleged wrongful acts committed by the Bank.
The Plaintiff has failed to prove his claim of the alleged wrongdoings and the Court had, on 29 April 2022 ruled that the Bank’s actions did not tantamount in any way to fraud nor can it be considered as malicious or in bad faith. The Plaintiff's claim was dismissed.
The Plaintiff did not file any appeal against this ruling. This Claim is now considered closed and is no longer material to the Bank.
