Affin Bank Berhad ("ABB") wishes to announce the appointment of Encik Musa bin Abdul Malek ("Encik Musa") as the new Chairman of Affin Islamic Bank Berhad (a wholly-owned subsidiary of ABB) effective 22 June 2022.

Encik Musa has been serving as an Independent Non-Executive Director of AiBB since 1 August 2019. He has over 40 years of banking experience whereby he held various senior leadership positions in HSBC Group, Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad and CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad.

Encik Musa had also previously served as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad in 2017 before retiring in February 2019. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) from the University of Ohio, USA/MARA Institute Technology, Malaysia.
